Search funds are a type of investment vehicle that allows entrepreneurs to raise capital from investors to find and acquire a single small or medium-sized business, with the goal of managing and growing it.
A few Search Funds have been started in Italy already and NOVA member, NYU '09, Vito Giurazza's Maestrale Capital is one of the best Italian success stories. We'll have a panel discussion on the asset class featuring Vito, his investor, California-based Sandro Mina of Relay Investments, and Milan-based Enrico Arietti of SF Club who have both backed lots of search funds.
In a truly Christmas-sy and entrepreneurial flavour, we'll introduce you to TechInovation Girls a non-profit led by Stefania Vele, CBS '10, focused on supporting young girls (8-18 yrs) with coding and technology training. You can donate on the ticket page or directly on GoFundMe with the Fondazione Lorenzo Santo matching 1:1 each donation up to the first €1.000.
We'll have plenty of networking and close the evening with the NOVA Christmas party (optional)
